Jonathan ‘JB’ Gill is inviting cameras on to his own farm for a new BBC show.

The former JLS singer bought a rural property near Orpington, Kent, with 11 acres of land, four years ago, before transforming it into a farm.

Now the 25-year-old pop star has signed up to present Down On The Farm, a new five-part show on children’s channel CBeebies.

JB will explore the outdoor world of farming and the countryside, from livestock to harvesting, with fellow presenter Storm Huntley.

As well as showing viewers around his own property, the former boyband star, who found fame on The X Factor, will visit others farms.

He said: “I spend a lot of time on the farm, so it will be great to share this experience with the CBeebies audience.

“This is a really exciting venture for me, and I look forward to learning more about farming throughout the show.”

CBeebies controller Kay Benbow said: “CBeebies is dedicated to delighting and surprising its young audience, which is why it’s fantastic to be able to add JB and Storm to the CBeebies family, while educating our viewers about farming.

“Down On The Farm will feed our viewers’ inquisitiveness about the origins of their food, and will hopefully inspire the next generation of farmers.”
