Florence Welch says she got her life back on track by moving out of her mother’s house and finally getting her own home.
The Florence And The Machine star said she had “a bit of a nervous breakdown” two years ago but living on her own helped her learn “how to look after myself more”.
She said: “It forced me to address the more self-destructive sides of myself because if there’s no one to pick up the pieces, you have to do it yourself”.
She went on: “I’m really glad it happened because it forced me to look at myself and it was like, ‘Oh, I’ve made a mess of everything’.”
The Londoner, who recently confessed to asking Taylor Swift for advice about men, has had hits including Dog Days Are Over and You’ve Got The Love.
