As December 25 approaches, there’s a good chance you’ve been writing your Christmas list – and what better gift than a celebrity calendar for 2015?

A recent chart compiled by official licensed calendar firm Danilo showed One Direction were pipped to the top of the latest best-seller list by hit Disney film Frozen.

But when it came to the battle of the boy bands, 1D triumphed over 5 Seconds Of Summer and The Vamps. While Harry Styles and co came second in the list, their Aussie rivals were fourth and The Vamps came in at number eight.

All the usual suspects have been striking their best poses in a bid to grace your wall for the next 12 months. But if Michelle Keegan, Kelly Brook and Benedict Cumberbatch are not for you, here are six celebrity calendars we’d like to see on the shelves this time next year…

Here’s a chance for some of our favourite celebs to take on some of the most memorable roles from the big screen.

See Cara Delevingne get to grips with her inner Marilyn Monroe in The Seven Year Itch, Gemma Collins recreates the iconic film poster from Silence Of The Lambs, Michelle Keegan becomes Lara Croft in Tomb Raider and Joey Essex becomes Russell Crowe in Gladiator.

At last, some of the best celebrity couples of all time are reunited. Remember how you loved Katie Price and Peter Andre’s jungle romance on I’m A Celebrity, not to mention their duet on A Whole New World?

Moving through the year you can remember how sad you were when Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston split, and shed a tear for Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman.

All those famous folk love a furry friend to keep them company – they offer unconditional love and never ask for autographs or tell all on Twitter.

See Simon Cowell with pet pooches Squiddly and Diddly, Ricky Gervais purring at his kitty and Hugh Jackman showing his sensitive side cuddling up to his pet pooch. Paris Hilton has a pet for every outfit while Kelly Osbourne and mum Sharon are never far from their canine pals.

Famous Richards

For everyone who loves a celebrity called Richard, here are all your favourites – whether you have a liking for genial Pointless genius Richard Osman, are a fan of Top Gear’s cheeky chappie Richard Hammond or have a begrudging respect for daytime TV royalty Richard Madeley.

There’s also screen hottie Richard Armitage – who knew dwarves could be so rugged? – elder statesman of cinema Richard Gere and Rocky Horror and Crystal Maze legend Richard O’Brien.

Unlikely crushes

Tired of all those chiselled Hollywood hunks and Towie permatans? Then this calendar is for you. Finally find out you are not alone in swooning over delicate TV comics Russell Howard and Jon Richardson, or gawky former Doctor Who star Matt Smith.

And look no further if earnestly ginger singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran is the man for you. Or maybe you prefer the quirky charms of Rufus Hound, or the more mature man in Tommy Lee Jones? And don’t forget, Dame Helen Mirren once admitted her secret crush was BBC political commentator Andrew Marr…

Separated at birth

Haven’t I seen you somewhere before? Finally confirmation that these stars are sisters and brothers from another mother. Do a double take as you compare Hilary Swank and Jennifer Garner and check out the remarkable resemblance between actresses Margot Robbie and Jaime Pressly, or Despicable Me star Steve Carell and his rocker twin Alice Cooper.

Marvel at how Fifty Shades leading lady Dakota Johnson could be a younger version of The Fall’s Gillian Anderson, and how model Christy Turlington and actress Jessica Biel could seriously be related. And have you ever seen Zooey Deschanel and Katy Perry in the same room?
