GRUFF Rhys’ American Interior has been nominated for three prestigious awards: one for music and two for literature.
He is headlining the End of the Road Festival at Larmer Tree Gardens near Salisbury on August 29. American Interior the album – Gruff’s highest charting solo album to date – is up for Independent Album Of The Year at the AIM Independent Music Awards while the book is shortlisted for the Guardian First Book Award and the Gordon Burn Prize.
Never one to shy away from new musical pastures, Gruff Rhys consistently takes his listener by the hand and leads them into the unknown.
From Ffa Coffi Pawb and Super Furry Animals to Neon Neon and his recent solo outings, the Welsh native’s career reads like an endless string of left turns.
Daniel Rossen of Grizzly Bear and Department of Eagles will perform a very rare solo show at End Of The Road, which takes place from August 29 to 31. See endoftheroadfestival.com
