Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel and Zoe Saldana were amongst the stars who attended the world premiere of Guardians Of The Galaxy in Los Angeles.

The cast of James Gunn's film, which also includes Chris Pratt, Glenn Close, Benicio Del Toro, Karen Gillan and Dave Batista, spent time posing for photos and signing autographs on Hollywood Boulevard, in front of the Dolby Theatre.

Zoe (alien Gamora) showed off her bra in a lace dress by Louis Vuitton, while former Doctor Who actress Karen, who plays villain Nebula, wore a purple frock. Glenn kept it cool in an all-white trouser suit, with the jacket featuring lace sleeves.

Anna Faris accompanied her husband Chris, who plays Peter Quill/Star-Lord. The Mom actress, in a white Paule Ka dress, joked: "I'm going to have to call him Star-Lord for the rest of his life. 'Star-Lord, honey, can you please pick your towels off the bathroom floor?'"

Bradley, who chanted his character's name Rocket Raccoon during his 30-minute run, selfie-taking with the crowds, said: "Hopefully people like the film. We worked hard to get his voice right, his attitude, his energy right."

Pro wrestler Dave, who portrays Drax the Destroyer, said: "I just played with the other actors, allowed myself to be directed and explored Drax's emotions and his heartbreak a little bit. I didn't want to be over-rehearsed for this so I didn't do a whole lot of preparation.

He added it is "nuts" to be a part of the Marvel legacy: "It's just starting to hit me how big it is. It's crazy. This whole experience is very new to me, it's very awkward. I'm in a suit and it just doesn't feel right."

The UK premiere takes place in London's Leicester Square on July 24, before the film is released in UK cinemas on July 31.
