BBC Breakfast’s Louise Minchin has taken the Children in Need “Be A Hero” campaign to heart and transformed into Wonder Woman.
The blonde star’s bob and smart attire made way for knee-high striped boots, a skirt based on the Stars and Stripes of the American flag, cuffs, a tiara headband and a wig.
Talking about her decision to dress up as Wonder Woman, Louise said: “I used to love watching Wonder Woman when I was growing up. I thought she was fantastically strong and powerful, and was never afraid to fight for her rights.”
The 47-year-old added: “I still envy her ability to miraculously change her outfit and look super-glamorous in just seconds.”
BBC Breakfast’s departing star Bill Turnbull headed to America’s Wild West for his Lone Ranger costume.
Meanwhile, fellow Breakfast presenter Charlie Stayt dressed up as comedian Sir Norman Wisdom and Naga Munchetty went all purple on us to emulate music genius, Prince.
Other highlights for the fundraising extravaganza include a Star Wars sketch, a Call The Midwife Strictly Come Dancing special and performances from Rod Stewart, Ellie Goulding and Selena Gomez.
Due to illness, Sir Terry Wogan has been replaced by Dermot O’Leary as the main face of the broadcast.
BBC Children in Need airs from 7.30pm on November 13 on BBC One.
