See the first photo of Mr Bean actor Rowan Atkinson getting serious in Maigret Sets A Trap
Rowan Atkinson may be famed for playing goofy, accident-prone Mr Bean, but fans may be surprised to see him getting serious as legendary French fictional detective Jules Maigret in a new ITV drama.
The actor is currently in Budapest, filming Maigret Sets A Trap, one of two stand-alone films. The second will be called Maigret’s Dead Man.
Set in 1950′s Paris, it is based on the iconic detective novels by French author Georges Simenon.
The TV film will also feature Harry Potter actress Fiona Shaw, Mr Selfridge star Aiden McCardle, and Miranda star Rufus Wright.
