Ryan Reynolds has already joked that he and Blake Lively planned to call their baby Excalibur Anaconda.

And then he denied the rumours that their baby girl was called Violet.

Now E! News claims that a source has revealed the real name of Blake and Ryan’s daughter.

And apparently it’s… James.

But could this be another false rumour? James is traditionally a boy’s name, after all.

Although her mother is called Blake, and Ryan is sometimes used as a girl’s name.

Ryan, 38, and Blake, 27, had their first child just before the new year, at the Westchester Medical Centre near their home in Bedford, New York.

And they have never actually confirmed the sex – so it could be a boy called James.

Speaking about becoming a father last week Ryan joked: “The second I looked in that baby’s eyes, I knew in that exact moment that if we were ever under attack, I would use my wife as a human shield to protect that baby.”

Carefully avoiding calling it either he or she.

And when he was asked by USA Today if the name Violet was correct, he replied: “No that’s not the name. I don’t want to get into that but I don’t know where that came from.”

Before the tot was born, Ryan had joked to eTalk: “I don’t want a name that’s anything pretentious or, like, Hollywood-y. So I’m going with Excalibur Anaconda Reynolds… That’s if it’s a girl.”
