Several members were absent from the September meeting due to sickness or holidays.
The August outing to the Great Lodge Experience in Great Bardfield had been enjoyed by all. It included a tour, wine tasting and a meal.
Celia Rice will be holding a coffee morning on September 24, in aid of Macmillan nurses.
Members had sent more than 20 shoeboxes to the forces serving in Afghanistan and Iraq, once again organised by Celia Rice.
The president then introduced Mrs Collis, who had come to talk and demonstrate making, painting and dressing reproduction antique porcelain dolls.
She was thanked by Ann Robertson for a most interesting meeting.
This month’s competition was won by Doreen Desmond.
The next meeting is on October 14, when the speaker will be Mrs Crayston on holiday travel in India.
